Tequila Lime Pie
Tequila has always been the life of a party - why not make a pie!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 3 @14 oz cans sweetened condensed milk
- 5 large egg yolks
- 1 cup freshly squeezed key lime juice (about 2 lbs)
- 1/2 cup tequila
- whipped cream and limes slices for garnishes
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F.
Stir together first 3 ingredients; firmly press mixture on bottom and up sides of 9 inch deep pie dish. Whisk together condensed milk and egg yolks in a large bowl until blended. Gradually whisk in lime juice and tequila until blended well. Pour mixture into crust. Bake fro 25 minutes or until set around edges. Pie will be slightly jiggly until set. Cool completely on a wore rack for about 2 hours. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight. Garnishes slices with whipped cream and limes slices.
