In the cookie of life, friends are the chocolate chips
Put rack in middle of oven and preheat at 350. Sift flour, baking soda. Set aside. In bowl of electric mixer with paddle; cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add egg and mix on high speed to combine. Add vanilla, mix well. Add flour mixture a bit at a time until blended. Then add oatmeal, toffee bits, chocolate chips. Divide into 3 portions and roll into logs using plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Cut into 3/4 inch pieces and bake on waxed line cookie sheets for about 8-10 minutes or until very light brown.
